The good points about this camera are that it supports night vision and optical zoom. There are not many products that meet both of these conditions, so it deserves some credit for that. However, the built-in IR light only works effectively within about 1–2 meters, and since it is more of a spotlight, it cannot illuminate an entire room. If you plan to use night vision properly, you will need to purchase an additional IR light.

I bought the set with the handle, but it does not work very well with the “photo” button that is used for semi-manual focus adjustment. As for the microphone, the built-in one sounds a bit muffled, so using an external mic is preferable. In terms of image quality, it performs about the same as a standard 1/2.8" sensor camera—there’s no real need to push it to 4K or 5K. The image stabilization does exist, but it feels outdated compared to modern cameras (probably because it is lens-shift only, so it’s not very high-performing). Another point is that the manufacturer seems to consider it a “convenient feature” that the power turns on and off with the opening/closing of the display. However, the inability to record with the screen closed is a drawback for me. Ideally, this could be improved with a firmware update to make it switchable.

That being said, while I’ve listed many shortcomings, buying a new camera with the same features would normally cost more. If your needs match its strengths (for example, you’re willing to buy an IR light to use night vision, you want a decent zoom, and you want to keep costs low), this camera can still be a good choice.

Eine solide Cam für viele Gelegenheiten in guter Qualität. 4K-Videos sind mit 30 fps gut, mit 60 fps hat die Cam leichte Qualitätsprobleme. Die sind aber nicht gravierend. Alles in allem eine empfehlenswerte Videokamera.
